Video: Ben Foster recalls terrifying Celtic Park story, praise for supporters

Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster has praised the atmosphere at Celtic Park. Foster started in a Champions League match for Manchester United in 2008, where Gordon Strachan’s side met Sir Alex Ferguson’s side who were holders at the time. Goals from Scott McDonald and Ryan Giggs levelled the match but the game stuck with Foster.

Foster also spoke about an experience told to him by Graham Stack, ex-Hibs goalkeeper. Foster told his listeners about how the Parkhead crowd intimidated the opposition in such a way that even with 90 minutes on the clock and 1-0 lead, Celtic were urged onto victory.

Stack played for Hibs between 2009 and 2011; facing the Celts six times, losing five times and drawing once. Perhaps he is recalling a game from 2010, where Celtic came from 2-1 down in the 80th minute to win 3-2. This was a game that Stack started.
