Whilst the Celtic supporters are hoping for a minor miracle to bring Croatian international Dominik Livakovic to the club, a clip has appeared online of the rumoured Celtic target getting a pep-talk from his captain at international level, Luka Modric.
The goalkeeper is due to join Turkish side Fenerbahce, but something has apparently changed within that deal and it threatens to stall indefinitely, with Fener sounding out Keylor Navas who is free to leave French side PSG. It’s claimed by sources in Turkey that Celtic have made an approach for the ‘keeper due to his move to Turkey stalling.

It remains to be seen though if the 28-year-old fancies a move to Celtic Park over Fenerbahce as he’s apparently keen on the Turkish side. Sources have claimed that a €9 million deal has been agreed between Dinamo Zagreb and Fenerbahce, with a 50% sell-on included in the prospective transfer. It would take something monumental at this stage to stop it from happening right enough, but you just never know in football.
Celtic are, after all, playing UEFA Champions League group stage football, whilst he could come and win silverware and play in front of 60,000 spectators every week. The Turks are currently in the Europa Conference League qualifying and it’s a considerable downgrade from even Zagreb who are in Champions League qualification themselves. Although undoubtedly both Fenerbahce and the Hoops are far bigger clubs.
Meanwhile, have a look at this clip posted online that shows Modric inspiring his teammate….
Livakovic-Celtic rumours won’t go away.
He made himself a hero for Croatia at World Cup.
Helps when you have someone like Modric in your ear, guiding & inspiring you.
