Jota on a free – But any talk of a Celtic return is probably pure fantasy

What’s going on with Jota? But any talk of a Celtic return is pure fantasy…

The saga surrounding Jota is strange to say the least. Just a matter of weeks since his life changing 190k a week contract to Saudi side Al- Ittihad he seems to be surplus to requirements.

The fact that the Saudi side also paid €29 million for his services is even more baffling. I know they like to throw money around like confetti, but to be willing to dump a valuable asset like Jota after only a matter of weeks is quite bizarre.

Apparently an Saudi football ‘expert’ doesn’t see Jota having a future at . I’m sorry but what’s this based on, a few minutes of football? The so called expert should think of changing career.

There’s even talk of him leaving on a free! Imagine if he came back to Celtic! That would be the most ridiculous transfer of all time. Selling a player for €29 million and getting him back on a free a few weeks later would be incredible.

Although that’s just pure fantasy as it’s highly unlikely as he will want as high a wage as possible from his next employer. He won’t get 190k a week, but he’ll be looking for around £60 -£70 grand a week I would imagine and that sadly is out of our reach.

So he might be heading to England or Spain I’d imagine. Whenever he ends up I hope he’s a success. Al- Ittihad might not want him, but their loss will be someone’s gain. He’s too talented to be left in the wilderness.

  1. It would be so wonderful to have Jota brought back. If you don’t ask you don’t get.

What’s pure fantasy is Celtic winning the league if we don’t strengthen this team.

I feel sorry for Brendan Rodgers. I think he’s been lied to. The board have taken the micky out of his good nature.
