The SFA have confirmed that Willie Collum will referee Celtic’s clash with Aberdeen on Sunday. The experienced whistler has been announced for the fixture, which will be live on Sky Sports, as Brendan Rodgers’ side host the Dons.
Collum will referee the match. He will be assisted by Paul McAvinue and Graeme Stewart, who will run the line. Chris Graham has been installed as Fourth Official.
Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, John Beaton has been appointed as VAR with Frank Connor on AVAR duties.
Collum last refereed Celtic in their sensational win over Motherwell at Fir Park. Luis Palma thought he’d won it that day before Blair Spittal levelled up in injury time, which prompted Matt O’Riley to go up the other end and win it for the Hoops.
Celtic were soundly beaten in Madrid against Atletico during the week, who benefitted from a poor VAR decision in the early stages that saw Daizen Maeda removed. They come up against an Aberdeen side who will be returning to action after securing a Europa Conference League point against PAOK. Collum was actually also on UEFA duties, refereeing the clash between Rennes and Panathiniakios.
