A game we should have won in the first half, but ended up dropping points which could prove fatal in the long run…
A 1-1 draw this afternoon at Pittodrie could prove fatal to our chances of defending the league title. We started so brightly in the first half and should’ve had the points wrapped up by half time, but it was the same old story of not taking our chances when they fell our way.
The Celtic Board were given a message in writing and via one or two chants about the fans view of theiir tight and timid transfer window as the away support braved the cold at Pittodrie.
The inevitable happened five minutes after the restart when who else but Bojan Miovski put the Dons in front with a great finish, albeit it was a disaster from us from a defensive point of view. It was Aberdeen’s first shot on goal, which kind of sums our luck up at the moment. It seemed to kick the home side into life and they naturally gained some confidence and attacked us freely after the goal.
Indeed the Dons had chances to take all three points much such was our pedestrian performance in the second half. Although we did nick a point through a fortunate finish by new Bhoy Nicolas Kuhn only minutes after he entered the field.
Whether that proves to be a priceless point in the grand scheme of things come May remains to be seen, but it’s a game we should’ve won and we will be kicking ourselves that we didn’t . It could prove ever so costly in the long run especially with a hard trip to Easter Road up next on Wednesday. That is now a must win.
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
