Celtic are interested in signing Hammarby midfielder Bazoumana Toure, according to Fotboll Direkt.
The Swedish source reported that Celtic had sent a scout over to the country to watch Hammarby’s game against Brommapojkarna. In that game, Hammarby won 2 nil, with Toure opening the scoring in the 54th minute.
Now, it seems as though Brendan Rodgers’ Scottish Champions are impressed by what they saw, with serious consideration being given to making a move for the 18-year-old.
It is unclear if Celtic will enter talks at this stage but if they do, they will face harsh competition. Crystal Palace, Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt are just three of the names interested in the youngster’s signature.
This season, Toure has made ten league appearances for Hammarby, scoring three goals and getting two assists. This year, he also made his debut for the Ivory Coast under-20s, earning three caps so far.
His contract doesn’t expire until 2028, meaning Hammarby are in the perfect position when it comes to getting clubs to meet their valuation of the highly rated midfielder.
