Watch: Goals as Celtic beat Sporting Lisbon with Kenny shining

Celtic were 2-0 winners in their pre-season friendly against Sporting Lisbon this evening. Brendan named a strong starting XI and will have been pleased with elements of the display from the Scottish Champions.

A penalty strike from Reo Hatate and Luke McCowan goal secured the win. Both goals came in the second half and Johnny Kenny was hugely influential in both goals, which will provide the manager with a headache regarding what to do with his compatriot.

A social media account on X shared clips of the goals.

The manager will have been pleased by the showing from his new signing Benji Nygren, who started in the midfield with Reo and Callum McGregor. The Swede found himself in good positions offensively as well as appearing to be cool on the ball.
