Celtic told to double their offer to £5m for transfer target

Celtic have been told to pay £5m for Jakob Breum. The Scottish Champions have had two bids rejected by Go Ahead Eagles as Brendan Rodgers looks to add attackers to his squad before the start of the season.

Speaking on Twitter, Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph confirmed that Celtic were still in negotiations for Breum but have been told to double their offer in order to get a deal done.

The figure will be inflated in the coming days as other interest crystallises in the winger. It appears that Celtic have been informed of the asking price of £5m but negotiations remain ongoing.

In 68 appearances for the Eredivisie, Breum has scored 14 goals and assisted on 10 occasions. The 21-year-old will be attracting interest from across Europe and Celtic will be weighing up whether to return with a follow up bid for the player.
