Shortly after the summer transfer window slammed shut at 11pm last night Celtic announced the signing from Swedish side Hammarby of the Tunisian winger Sebastian Tounekti on a five-year deal. Celtic we believe paid an inflated price of £5.5m
‘Celtic Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Tunisian winger Sebastian Tounekti on a five-year deal, subject to international clearance. Welcome to Celtic, Sebastian’
Yang remains at the club, despite spending the day in Birmingham waiting for his promised move to go through but with events going against Michael Nicholson all day long, the South Korean winger is going to have to get his head around having to play for Celtic until the January window opens. That’s the one where the Celtic support are reminded that it’s always a difficult window to do business in.
Maybe we will be ‘celebrating’ the first anniversary of Kyogo’s exit by signing a new striker. With various reported targets joining the likes of Norwich, Middlesbrough and with the Dutch window still open today Ajax.
Celtic’s response yesterday was word class – they sold Adam Idah to Swansea City and the very best of luck to the big guy with a HUGE thanks for his outstanding – and often under appreciated – contribution to the Celtic cause.

Michael Nicholson flagged up the board’s intention to be world class in everything that they do but it’s going to be a long way back to credibility for the Celtic CEO after yesterday shambles. For Brendan Rodgers he has to work with what he’s got while sweeping through the free agent list – it’s got desperation written all over it and he deserves so much better than this. So do we, the Celtic support.

Glad you paid tribute to Idah, his recent loss of form was disappointing but I would rather have kept him than Yang.
The two or three new signings will all be involved in the African Nations Cup late Dec through January so won’t be available for the next Glasgow derby assuming they are good enough to be selected for their countries.
The Board are a disgrace, 9 months to replace Kyogo. Boycotting games or merchandise won’t hurt them a bit sadly.
We have the best defence and midfield in the league, Kenny may step up but our biggest danger is not Glasgow Espanyol but the impact of the manager’s departure in the rest of the season
11 assists at £5.5m
what a bargain
