Kris Boyd says Martin must go after ex-Celt downs Rangers

Ibrox cheerleader Kris Boyd looked crestfallen as he summed up Rangers’ defeat to Genk. The Belgian side had a hatful of chances in the game but settled for a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Oh.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Boyd looked gutted with the result but opined that it is time up for Russell Martin.

Rangers invested heavily in the summer and would have likely sensed the indecision at Celtic Park. However, Boyd is calling for a recruitment overhaul along with the head of Martin. With four wins in fourteen, the Rangers supporters have been revolting, including a display against their manager at the weekend.

Celtic must rue the 0-0 draw at Ibrox in which neither team impressed. If Seb Tounekti and Kelechi Iheanacho had been in the building, Celtic would’ve likely looked more potent in attack. Brendan Rodgers’ side will have an opportunity to right this wrong when the sides meet in the Premier Sports Cup Semi Final at Hampden in November.
