The 22-year-old London-born shot-stopper came through the youth systems at Tottenham Hotspur before joining Celtic. He has gained valuable experience through loan spells with Cork City, Admira Wacker in Austria, and most recently Dunfermline Athletic, where he established himself as first-choice goalkeeper.
Oluwayemi today joined Kilmarnock for an initial seven-day period, in accordance with SPFL rules on emergency loans.

With Kilmarnock visiting Ibrox on Sunday this means that Celtic’s Tobi Oluwayemi could be the man with the gloves who could certainly spoil the new Ibrox manager Danny Röhl’s first match at Ibrox where theRangers haven’t won the Scottish Premiership since before Ange Postecoglou won the Europa League in Bilbao, then got sacked from Tottenham, took the Notting Forest job and got sacked there too.

So it’s clearly been a long and frustrating wait and with managers not lasting a matter of weeks rather than months if results don’t come immediately then the new 36 year-old German boss of theRangers has got to find a way to start winning matches amid what has been a toxic atmosphere during Russell Martin’s eventful time in charge.

Best of luck to Tobi Oluwayemi at Kilmarnock and hopefully he gets the gloves on Sunday and comes away with a clean sheet as Celtic look to get the better of high flying Hearts at Tynecastle.
Before all that though it’s the Europa League action with Celtic at home to Austrian side SK Sturm Graz, who beat theRangers in the last round of fixtures. Brendan Rodgers and Liam Scales spoke to the media at Celtic Park this afternoon and Conor Spence was there for The Celtic Star, with reports to follow.
