Tributes flood in for Celtic legend Billy McNeill

TRIBUTES have been flooding in for Billy McNeill, the Celtic legend, who passed away last night aged 79. Former team-mates, ex-Celtic players, clubs he managed, FIFA and many others including thousands from Celtic Supporters have been posted on Twitter this morning as a tribute to our greatest ever captain.

“Heartbroken over the passing of my great friend and captain Billy McNeill. A huge blow for the Celtic family but a devastating loss for Liz, Susan Libby Carol, Paula and Martyn. My thoughts and prayers are with them today. RIP my friend,” Jim Craig

“Sad hearing sad news about Billy, there will be many tribute`s about him, but please remember Liz and his family let the grieve in their own way, it`s a blessing at his passing and a relief Rest in Peace Billy from all in my family, we know what you all were going through,” John Fallon (who lost his wife recently).
