Team’s Up – Cvancara leads the line for Celtic, Engels back

Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has named his team for this afternoon’s game against St Mirren. The Scottish Champions kick off at 3pm as they look to secure all the points in their pursuit of the title.

The legendary Celtic boss has made one change from the team that beat Dundee last weekend with Tony Ralston replacing the injured Colby Donovan. Tomas Čvančara continues in attack, despite lacking the killer touch in front of goal.

Vil Sinisalo starts in nets

In defence, Liam Scales starts alongside Auston Trusty with Anthony Ralston down the right and Kieran Tierney down the left.

Callum McGregor captains the side and he starts with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Benji Nygren in the middle of the park.

Big Tam leads the line with Daizen Maeda and Yang the wide options.

Celtic Subs: Doohan, McCowan, Iheanacho, Tounekti, Engels, Saracchi, Hatate, Arthur & Forrest

Another positive for Celtic comes as Arne Engels is named on the bench. The Belgian Internationalist has been a big miss in the middle of the park and he’ll be hoping to get on at some stage to continue his return to full fitness.

Alistair Johnston and Callum Osmand continue to work towards an imminent return from injury and both could be involved next weekend when Celtic play today’s opponents St Mirren at Hampden Park in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Today though is the priority and the three points are absolutely essential. Get this game won!
