Photo: Celtic players take the knee in support for BLM

The Celtic players took part in support for the BLM movement by taking a knee prior to kick off in this evening’s match against Nice. The Scottish Champions took a knee before the whistle blew in what is their first fixture since beating St Mirren 5-0 at home in March.

Both sets of players took part in their support for the movement. There were no supporters in the ground but the message was still clear – Black Lives Matter.
The club have a rich heritage in supporting social justice and equality as after all, the club was founded by Irish immigrants. Celtic is and continues to be, A Club Open to All.
