The preparation for the game today has been far from ideal, but in some ways it’s been made worse by not really knowing who was going to be available until today.
Arsenal look to set to select Kieran Tierney after the debacle over the international break with Stuart Armstrong, but it looks like Ryan Christie has been forced to miss out today.
There are other issues too with Eddy and Jullien missing out so it means a surprise start for Stephen Welsh, and it’s going to be interesting to see how this team performs:

The return to the back three and wing backs will annoy some and it’s not always worked out, but in some ways it does make sense to try and get an extra body in defence when there’s some inexperience in there.
Lenny has also taken the big call to put Laxalt in from the start, but you can see the nervousness in the support today as the line up hasn’t gone down that well:
Lennon trying to kid on he is a master tactician with yet another “surprise” formation. It has never worked

Can we not have one normal team selection in a derby game?

Not our strongest team but still more than capable of winning this. Welsh: win your tackles & headers and keep it simple – could be the making of the lad

Unsure, can always judge how this is going to turn out when you see his team selection. Easily could have done a lot better, hopefully an 100% wrong.
