The Damning Bobby Madden ‘Compare and Contrast’ Video

We featured this video this morning at the end of our article on David Turnbull’s ‘chin-up’ comments after the frustrations of outplaying theRangers at Ibrox on Saturday but losing the game after conceding while playing with ten men.

On the decision by controversial referee Bobby Madden who saw the Bitton challenge on Morelos as a foul and a red card Turnbull (as reported by Glasgow Times) had this to say: “I don’t know about the red card, it changed the game of that there is no doubt. I thought big Kris Ajer was coming in behind so I felt the cover was there.

“As soon as I saw the ref I thought it was a bit of a soft one, I’m certainly not sure about it.”

Compare and contrast with Madden’s decision making in this video, especially the challenge on Leigh Griffiths as he was about to shoot on goal…

Griffiths in front of the defender, right in front of goal and Madden decided no penalty and no red card. The score was 1-1 and that incident happened in the last few seconds of the match. Compare and contract with Madden’s quick-fire decision making at the weekend…

I think it was already on the cards what the outcome at sevconia would be, that’s why Bobby Midden , sorry, Madden, was appointed as match official . Just surprised that the wee “red, red, red Ross” wasn’t on the line as well.
