Team’s Up – Celtic side making club history in Champions League is named by Fran Alonso

The Celtic FC Women side that this afternoon makes history for the club by appearing in the Women’s Champions League has been named by manager Fran Alonso. The opposition is tough, Levante finished a close third begin current European Champions Barcelona and Real Madrid last season and will fancy their chances of progressing far in this competition this season.

Our own Spaniard though will be trying to end that particular dream over in Trondheim this afternoon. The match kicks off at 5pm and is live on BBC Alba. The Celtic team making history is as follows…

Chloe Logan, Chloe Warrington, Caitlin Hayes, Chloe Craig, Jodie Bartle, Kelly Clark (Captain), Sarah Teegarden, Izzy Atkinson, María Ólafsdóttir Grosand, Charlie Wellings and Rachel Donaldson

On the bench For Celtic’s Champions League debut are Johnston, Shorts, Jacynta, Shen, Toland, Pollard, Bowie, R McAllister, P McAllister, Burchill and McGovern.
