Hats off to the Brattbakk Bhoys CSC – “Wherever we go, we always have a group of Celtic fans that are passionate about the club,” Fran Alonso

Fran Alonso talks to Celtic TV about the Celtic Supporters from the Brattbakk Bhoys CSC who made sure that their voices were heard at Celtic’s Women’s Champions League debut yesterday afternoon. The Hoops ghirls did up proud, absolutely terrifying the highly rated opposition, Levante who finished behind European Champions Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Watch also as a very proud Celtic manager discusses the game which Celtic lost by 2-1 but that hardly tells the story as the Spanish side desperately hung on as Celtic pushed hard for a second goal and came agonisingly close on several occasions.

The way this mini-group works is that Celtic now play FC Minsk on Saturday as they lost to Rosenborg yesterday. The Norwegian hosts will play Levante and the winners of that match will progress into the next stage of the Women’s Champions League. For Celtic though it’s all about achieving that first ever Champions League win and whetting the appetite for more of the same next season, although by winning the SWPL1 the route to the group stages is significantly easier. Glasgow City you have been warned!

“Wherever we go, we always have a group of Celtic fans that are passionate about the club”…

Fran Alonso will be speaking to the Celtic Fan Media tomorrow morning and of course The Celtic Star will be there. We’ll have the video up mid morning hopefully.

Here are our History Makers….now let’s get this win on Saturday Ghirls….COYGIG
