Not For Sale: Sky Sports Journalist Provides Encouraging Juranovic Update

The ongoing story that is Josip Juranovic’s potential transfer away from Celtic has taken a number of twists and turns this week. A few days ago, Fabrizio Romano revealed that a number of English Premier League clubs were tracking the player, Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas then reported that Atletico Madrid had thrown their hat into the ring, and now Thomas’ colleague Anthony Joseph has provided a welcome update to proceedings.

In a Twitter post this afternoon, Joseph explained that while Celtic are aware of interested from a number of suitors, they do not wish to sell Juranovic this summer and for that to change a huge offer will be required. What constitutes a huge bid in the mind’s of the Celtic board is anyone’s guess, but with Juranovic contracted until 2026 and the club having Champions League income guaranteed this season, it would certainly need to provide a significant profit margin on the player that they signed for £2.5m from Legia Warsaw last summer.
