Mohamed Diomande of theRangers lives something of a charmed life when it comes to the Scottish game, but last night he finally got his comeuppance when he saw red for a disgraceful challenge against a Genk side which contained former Celt Oh in the Europa League at Ibrox.

The Ivorian has left rival supporters baffled on many occasions as his overzealous style has gone mostly unchallenged by Scottish officials, seeming almost untouchable when it comes to being punished.

Time and time again he’s been let off with persistent and aggressive behaviour in games against Celtic, and other clubs too, thanks to this leniency the midfielder has enjoyed and exploited during his time in Scotland.

That leniency has been exposed on the European front as proven last night, or even last season’s Europa campaign in which he was cautioned on an average in one in every two games, and indeed served a ban due to his lack of discipline.

Needles to say his domestic record is nowhere close to that of his European one, due to the charmed life he enjoys amongst Scottish officials who have once again been exposed for their leniency towards the Ibrox side.

Here’s Diomande’s disgraceful challenge last night that resulted in his red card.
