AZ Alkmaar v Celtic – team news, kick off time and where to watch

Celtic face AZ Alkmaar in the second leg of the Europa League Play Off this evening. Thanks to goals from Kyogo and James Forrest, Ange Postecoglou’s side take a 2-0 lead to the Netherlands.

Team News

James Forrest and James McCarthy did not travel with Celtic yesterday. The pair are being rested after picking up minor knocks, which ruled them out of the win on Saturday over St Mirren.

Postecoglou has had four full days to prepare for this fixture after the 6-0 thrashing of the Buddies and he will hope that he can push his team on to get a result tonight.

Ange Postecoglou is still pushing for a couple of signings but new Bhoy Josip Juranovic is unavailable due to playing the first leg of Legia Warsaw’s tie against Slavia Prague last week.

Odsonne Edouard remains at the club despite speculation linking him with a move away. There are a few days remaining in the window but Celtic may hope to seal a lead of Rangers and Europa League qualification before he departs.

We will bring you the starting XI as soon as we have it.

Kick Off Time

The game kicks off at 7:15pm, Celtic Park time.

Where to Watch

The game will be shown on Premier Sports, with coverage beginning at 6:45pm.

Celtic TV subscribers outside of the UK & Ireland will be able to watch the game live online.

It is a huge night for Ange & his players tonight but qualification to The Europa League would be an achievement for this group of players considering the mess of last season. The manager, his staff and the playing squad will be looking to right the wrongs of the last year and it would be a huge boost if they could deliver on Group Stage football.

Come on Celtic!
