A photograph of Callum McGregor with Anton Rodgers has surfaced, joining the dots on a story that every Celtic supporter hoped wouldn’t gather pace.
As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Callum McGregor has switched representation to Unique Sports Group – the same agency that handles Brendan Rodgers – with a picture of our captain alongside Anton Rodgers, Brendan’s son, now circulating after being shared on X by CeltsAreHere’s Michael Shearer. The photograph is dated June 11th and also features James Hussey. The agency switch itself had already surfaced in the Celtic sphere on Friday, but the picture adds a layer of specificity that makes it harder to dismiss.
Unique Sports Group is the agency that negotiated Rodgers’ own move to Al-Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League. Adam Idah, whose initial loan to Celtic was orchestrated by Rodgers back in 2024, is also a client of theirs. The fact that McGregor has moved to that stable – in the middle of a contract, at 33 years of age – has understandably generated more than the usual background noise.
The rumour of a McGregor move to Al-Qadsiah isn’t new. It first emerged at the top of this year, when he was linked with Rodgers’ side in the Saudi Pro League. Alongside Rodgers at Qadsiah are John Kennedy, the long-serving Celtic player and assistant, plus analysts Jack Lyons and Greg Wallace. There is a clear Celtic network forming in Saudi Arabia, and McGregor’s agency move, whether intentional or not, plants him closer to its orbit.

Let’s be honest: after 12 years, 576 appearances, and 26 trophies, McGregor leaving would be one of the most significant exits this club has seen in a generation. He’s not just a player – he’s the embodiment of continuity in a squad that has been rebuilt around him.
The primary source is clear on one thing: for now, this remains a rumour. McGregor is reported to be leading Martin O’Neill’s men into next season as normal.
