Celtic’s New Third Kit Gets Its First Official Tease

Three seconds is all we got – but the new third kit is on its way, and if the research is anything to go by, it’s a bold one.

Celtic have released a three-second teaser clip on social media offering supporters the first official glimpse of the club’s new third kit for the 2025/26 season, continuing the pre-season kit rollout that began with the home strip back in May.

As reported by The National, the clip is short on detail by design – three seconds will do that – but it confirms the kit is incoming and the full reveal isn’t far away.

What we already know fills in the picture considerably. The 2025/26 third kit is predominantly off-white with pale green tie-dye hoops across the chest and sleeves, and orange trim on the collar and sides – a deliberate echo of the Irish tricolour. It carries a minimalist shamrock crest in place of the standard badge, and Adidas have framed the design around Celtic’s Irish heritage and founding story, which is well-worn territory for a third strip but feels fitting enough when done with genuine care.

The kit was officially launched and put on sale on 27 June 2025, with adult replica shirts priced at £75 and player-issue versions from £120 – a slight rise on the £70 price point set by the 2024/25 third strip. Supporters have been vocal about the affordability question, and at those numbers that conversation isn’t going away.

Fan reaction has been predictably split. Some are taken by the heritage angle and the distinctiveness of the off-white palette; others have been blunt in calling the tie-dye aesthetic a step too far. Let’s be honest – third kits are always the battleground for that debate, and Adidas have clearly decided the thematic storytelling approach is worth the division it creates.

The timing of the tease fits the pre-season pattern. With Celtic’s pre-season schedule including a friendly against AC Milan, the full kit rollout is building toward the competitive opener – and with Champions League qualifiers on the horizon, the squad and the support will have bigger things to focus on soon enough.

The away kit – a black strip with thin green pinstripes – launched on 15 July, so the third should see meaningful game time once the season gets going in earnest. When it does, the design will either win the doubters over or confirm their suspicions. We’ll see.
