Celtic v Hibernian: team news, KO time & where to watch

Celtic face Hibs this afternoon in the Cinch Premiership as the Scottish Champions return to domestic duty against the visitors from Edinburgh. Hibs, who sit in third, were beaten by Dundee United at Tannadice on Tuesday while Celtic lost to RB Leipzig in the Champions League.

Team News

There are a few fresh injury blows for Ange Postecoglou. Jota hasn’t made it with the manager confirming he’s not far away from returning but he is out of the visit from the Hibees. Stephen Welsh and David Turnbull are out and won’t be available this afternoon. The Scottish duo join Carl Starfelt and Callum McGregor on the sidelines.

Joe Hart will start in between the sticks. The defence will likely comprise of a central pairing of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Moritz Jenz. On the flanks, Greg Taylor and Josip Juranovic will start.

Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley will start in the midfield with Sead Haksabanovic in the central, more forward role.

In attack, James Forrest starts on the right with Daizen Maeda playing on the left. Kyogo continues through the middle.

Predicted XI: Hart; Juranovic, Carter-Vickers, Jenz, Taylor; O’Riley, Hatate, Haksabanovic; Forrest, Kyogo, Maeda.
