Philippe Clement thankfully safe for the time being. What a great way to end a perfect weekend…

Many Celtic supporters had a worrying Sunday afternoon after it was ‘rumoured’ that Philippe Clement had parted company with theRangers and a six o’clock announcement was planned to confirm the sad news.
Rumours of pending sacking
In the end someone with real ‘in the know knowledge’ at Ibrox quashed these worrying claims, and it turned out just to be yet another social media rumour, leaving the poor Bears raging and the Bhoys buoyant about the weekend results and the Belgian staying in post.
Clement like all the other previous occupants of the Ibrox dug out arrived on a pedestal, before seeing his popularity dwindle, and leaving fans calling for his head on a stick.

Like Beale, van Bronckhorst, Gerrard, Pedro, and Warbs before him, Clement has gone from tactical genius to tactical failure in the blink of an eye. The unrealistic Ibrox supporters have such high expectations that they predictably want change when things go pear shaped.
Clement recently signed a new contract
Although this time it may prove difficult as Clement recently signed a new contract and it would cost a pretty penny to send him on his merry way, and since it’s well documented that the club are in dire straits financially, theRangers supporters better get used to him hanging around.
What a great way to end a perfect weekend.

It doesn’t take a genius to realize that Clement has been trying to force the hand of the board into firing him for months now! He’s wanted out since his first meeting with Brendan Rodgers and the realization he was NEVER going to be successful as long as Celtic are around! All the help in the world from the sfa won’t work because we are used to coping there!
The sfa can’t get the kickback from a club with no funds! Sadly, neither can Clement!
It seems they have less to offer the sfa than they used to have!
