Martin O’Neill has spoken at length to the media since officially being unveiled as the Celtic manager on an interim basis until the end of the season. There has been talk of transfers, systems, the coaching set up, targets for the season, stays beyond this interim period and also fan issues.
One such fan issue was the desire for the Green Brigade Ultras to return to Celtic Park and for the wider support, who back the Celtic Fans Collective, to eventually come together in unison with the board. A wise man, Martin knows that there needs to be a bit of conciliation and some discussions to facilitate this. Indeed, when asked whether he would like to see the Green Brigade Ultras return to their berth at the bottom of the North Curve standing section O’Neill said:
“Right, do you know what I think? In the longer, shorter term, I wouldn’t mind having a meeting with a group of people just for people airing their grievances and things like this here. But, listen, I’m a football manager. It’s ridiculous of me and rather obnoxiously ridiculous of me to think that I can resolve a problem. What you can do is, I think that you can have a bit of a truce, if that’s the case.
“I’d love it if the stadium was absolutely just ready to go and ready to support the players through thick and thin because it will be a difficult time.”
Speaking about the ill feeling between the club’s hierarchy and the support, Martin continued:
“I did say, too, that I thought initially when I came here, first of all, and I kind of half-joked about how Daizen Maeda or Reo Hatate wouldn’t know if that’s the case (ill-feeling). But it does wear you down a bit, you know.
“So, it would be nice to have people together, but that’s unfair of me to think that I would be able to do anything about it.”
O’Neill concluded by saying:
“We’d have to try and win the football matches and that quells things for a little while. That’s all it does. But eventually at some stage, whatever comes and goes, the board and supporters will have to come back into unison.”
Those closing comments highlight the task that the Collective and the hundreds of supporter organisations that endorse them face. Football fans are largely fickle, and while positive results are desirable and welcomed, it is important not to take the eye of the bigger picture to repair things with the PLC board through meaningful change and engagement with fans. Bringing back the Green Brigade would be a huge olive branch for the board to hand the fans and it’s certainly something that Martin O’Neill wishes to see, in the interests of harmony and atmosphere.
They’ll be digging tunnels with Hamas next trying to break into Celtic Park. Let’s hope they don’t abduct the board like the murderous Hamas terrorists.
And what about terrorism the nihilist Marxist, communist protest industrial complex. Aka the green brigade pronouns me/I. Just stop oil and free Maurado. Having traded in their Hamas flags.
What about the Christian genocide in Nigeria?
Or the genocide of the the unborn fetus – Latin for little human being?
Shall we ban the Nigerians next or the females as collective punishment for the genocide.
Or is the genocide of the Christian’s by the paedo warlords cult not fashionable enough to protest.
Stick their communist bullshit up their arse.
Keep the ban
Jesus is the way. The truth and the life.
And blessed be the peacekeepers. For they will be called. The children of God

We’re taking our club back with Martin O’Neill for the Catholics
Ps. Rod Stewart was Right about EVERYTHING!
Agree with your first two paragraphs, David. As for taking back the club for the Catholics? Our many non-Catholic Celtic heroes should never be forgotten. Our many non-Catholic supporters should always be made welcome. We are all Tims after all.
Hail Hail.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks, John.
Hail Hail.
I meant your first 2 paragraphs in your 2nd post. I cannot be bothered with all the politics nonsense.
Hail Hail.
I can’t be bothered with the politics of the Green brigade either. Hail hail. We were a club open to all.
Until the Green brigade tried to turn us into Jew hating trolls. I support they are a product of Glasgow University. If only they spent a bit of time reading the Holy Bible and Jesus Christ’s words.
Loving your neighbour as your friend and of course. They are crying out for a peacekeeper in Martin O’Neill.
And as we know from Jesus Christ – blessed be the peacekeepers. For they will be known as. The children of God
The Jew hating trolls the Green Brigade can get back in when they SQUARE UP.
And then success will bring us together. When you get older and wiser like Martin O’Niell. All views matter under God.
Amen!
David
As said earlier, best wishes for your mental health and get well soon
The board need to recognise that the fans deserve to be kept in the loop as the lifeblood of our club – we are all in this together. The fans need to understand and appreciate that the board have to manage the Club professionally and prudently as a PLC and a going concern business. The board over the past 15 years have done a magnificent job – the best run club in the uk – so they deserve a lot of praise for that. The recent transfer windows however have been a disappointment – the Board need to own that. Mistakes have been made for sure – taht is on them. So balance is needed please from all – Martin will quietly and subtley work away to achieve that. Only by working in harmony will the club move forward – there’s a leage title to be played for.
Hail Hail
Seriously Liam there’s nothing fickle sbout this . * rangers died in 2012 . We had zero domestic competition, Liewell knew this and participated in a fraud / continuity lie that reaped him millions personally , and his cohorts in the SMSM a living printing fictional propaganda about a toxic entity that survived liquidation. I believe without evidence, that part of the 5 way agreement ( that Liewell didn’t see ) was that Celtic would be “ allowed “ to win another 9 in a row , but 10 was off limits . He did his damnest to stop the 10 . 10 would have killed off any recollection that a team from Ibrox survived. He millions participating in this Masonic fraud , and the gullible amongst the Celtic support bought into it .
Not a penny more !!
Get this rag tag capitalist charlatans out of Brother Walfrids idealogical humble construct .., Celtic belongs to the idea of food on the plate of the hungry; no matter where they are from !
