GOALS from Ryan Christie and Oliver Burke gave Celtic a fairly comfortable win over a Hibs side that tried to press Celtic high up the park but didn’t manage to get a shot on target and won the grand total of one corner kick, which came very late in a match.

Craig Thomson kept his red card in his pocket after a disgraceful challenge on Emilio Izaguirre which saw yet another Celtic player leave the field on a stretcher. And he also kept his whistle well away from his lips when Burke was tripped inside the box in the closing stages of the game.

It would not have made any difference other than to the goal difference and if you consider the three non-penalties awarded at Ibrox at the weekend – they got another one last night apparently – and the one Celtic were denied last night to add to the two we should have had on Sunday, you have a fairly big swing in the goal difference column.

Anyway here are the highlights from Celtic Park last night…
