Anthony Joseph at Sky Sports reports: ‘South Korea have called up Celtic winger Hyun-jun Yang for their World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Oman and Jordan later this month. It’s the first time he’s been named in their squad since the Asian Cup last year. South Korea can qualify with two wins.’
Yang’s call-up is certainly well deserved and having had to work hard and be patient finding his feet in Scottish football, with at one point only Brendan Rodgers believing in him, Yang has emerged as an important player in the Celtic squad and is now popular with the Celtic support, most of who didn’t believe he was going to cut it in the Hoops. That’s why Brendan is a top coach and we’re all just interested and passionate observers!
