“They have unconditional support for the team and myself,” Kyogo on the Celtic Support

“For me, fans are like treasures. In any situation, good or bad, they have unconditional support for the team and myself,” Kyogo, doing his thing…

He’s probably the most exciting goalscorer Celtic have had since Henrik Larsson and the Celtic Support have absolutely fallen in love with Kyogo, who scored with goals against Hibs in the League Cup Final at the weekend to win his first honour as a Celtic player.

Yesterday Kyogo, with the help if a translator, spoke to the Media, including of course The Celtic Fan Media who now have two representatives – on a rotating basis – at all of these media conferences with both Celtic players and indeed the manager Ange Postecoglou, as we reported earlier.

Here’s what Kyogo had to say yesterday…

“Winning is always great and it’s always due to the support of everyone involved and that includes the fans. I’m so grateful to the manager for putting so much trust in me, but not just him, though. It’s also the trainers and team-mates.

“On top of that, the fans who support me make it just a big family and I can’t quite describe with words how special the relationships are. I’m very grateful to be playing in this big family.

“For me, fans are like treasures. In any situation, good or bad, they have unconditional support for the team and myself, and that’s why all I want to do is score and put smiles on their face and make them happy. It’s such a special relationship to me.”

“I’m very surprised at how quickly I’ve adjusted but I do believe it’s due to the support and the trust of the team-mates. Everyone in Japan is shocked and excited by the success so far. I’m happy to share the good news in Japan, but I need to focus more and get the results I need here.”

“Not many players play here from Japan which is why they are shocked and also because I’ve been able to feel accepted very fast. I have a lot of support from fans, so I guess people are surprised by how fast I’ve adapted. However, I’m still not satisfied and I need to provide more results, and my goal is to put smiles on people’s faces.”
