UEFA confirm refereeing team for Celtic’s clash with Braga

UEFA have confirmed the refereeing appointments for Celtic’s UEFA Europa Leagye clash with Braga. The Portuguese side arrive in Glasgow’s East End for Matchday Two.

The match officials have been confirmed with German referee Tobias Stieler being handed the whistle.

Stieler will be assisted by compatriots Mark Borsch and Lasse Koslowski with Timo Gerach acting as Fourth Official.

Meanwhile, Video Assistant Referee duties will be carried out by Christian Dingert – again from Germany. He will be assisted by Dutch official Pol van Boekel.

The game will kick off at 5:45pm (Celtic Park Time) in the early KO this Thursday.

Stieler has previously officiated two Celtic matches in the past, including Neil Lennon’s side in their famous 2-1 win over Lazio in Rome. The following year, he officiated a 4-1 UEL defeat against Sparta Prague.

Celtic will be hoping that they can show the defence solidity that they have showcased this season. However, Brendan Rodgers’ side will want his side to be ruthless in attack, showing the attacking form that they showcased in the first half of last season.
