Celtic concluded their preparations for the return to Premiership action with a friendly defeat to Rennes. The French side arrived after Ange Postecoglou’s team had been put through their paces in a week-long camp in the Algarve.
In what was a frantic first half where seven goals were shared between the sides, Ange will have been pleased with the run-out that his players got in the Portuguese sun. Now, Celtic have released a clip of the goals – a rare insight into what has gone on in this camp as the manager has insisted upon operating ‘behind closed doors’.
All the goals came in the first half with Rennes taking an emphatic 4-1 lead with the Celtic goal coming from Matt O’Riley. Just before the interval both Kyogo and O’Riley scored for Celtic to make it Celtic 3 Rennes 4 at the interval.
