The Celtic Star took part in the latest Celtic fan media conference this evening, interviewing Celtic’s new Bhoys Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide ahead of the second friendly at the club’s summer training base in Newport, against Charlton Athletic.

It was a busy conference with plenty of representatives from the fan media, with some of the main fan media sites like The Celtic Star, 67 Hail Hail and Celts Are Here joined by numerous podcasts and a few fanzines including Matt McGlone from the Alternative View.

Both young guys, close friends and teammates at Sheffield Wednesday have been settling into life as Celtic players and tonight was the first chance they’re likely to have had to speak directly to the Celtic support.  One thing that stood out was that even though they had nothing to do with it, they are well aware as Celtic players that last season was a major disappointment and one that the Celtic players are looking to make amends for.

We asked both Liam and Osaze about working with Ange Postecoglou’s current backroom staff John Kennedy, Gavin Strachan and Stephen McManus and both were extremely complimentary about all three. We also asked them if Football was Coming home on Sunday!
