Celtic attacker Daizen Maeda showed his immense workrate even after being substituted. The Japanese Internationalist ramped up his pre-season preparations with a significant amount of minutes in the win over Sporting Lisbon in which he impressed with KT on the left. However, after being substituted, Daizen started doing press-ups at the side of the pitch.

Maeda was electric last season powering his way to a clean sweep of Player of the Year awards. It remains to be seen whether the manager wants to use him exclusively as a left sided forward or move him centrally, as he did successfully earlier this year.
