CELTIC’S 1988 Centenary side will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of winning the double in that very special season at a 30th Anniversary Ball in May and in doing so will raise money for the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust.
The 1988 Celtic Centenary Team 30th Anniversary Ball will be staged at the Glasgow Hilton Doubletree Hotel on Cambridge Street on Saturday 12 May 2018 – just two days short of the exact 30th Anniversary of that wonderfully sunny, never to be forgotten day at Hampden on 14 May 1988.
The Anniversary Ball is being staged by the Celtic Former Players Association and not directly by Celtic FC.
It has a 7pm start time, and will include a 3 course meal with entertainment and the night will be hosted by Peter Martin. You can expect to enjoy a live band, video highlights from the season, there will be interviews with the players from the Centenary team and the usual raffle and auction etc.
The Centenary Team, along with Rosemary Burns, will be in attendance and will be available for photos etc.
The dress code is lounge suit (shirt and tie) for the men and Formal Gown for the ladies.
The host at each table will receive a signed and framed commemorative Centenary strip plus a double room with breakfast at the Hilton. A standard table of 10 will cost £880 and a VIP table of 10 will cost you £2000.
Monies raised on the night will be donated to the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust and The Celtic Former Players chosen charity.
