The Jeremie Frimpong sell-on money is a welcome boost to the Celtic coffers, now let’s put it to good use this summer…

Former Celtic favourite Jeremie Frimpong officially made his long awaited move to Liverpool for a fee believed to the in the region of €34 million (£29 million) and it’s believed that Celtic have banked a fee in the region of £5.5 million for the Dutchman’s transfer due to being owed a percentage of the deal.
Jeremie Frimpong joins Liverpool for £29.5M.
Celtic will earn £5.5M due to a sell on clause & in turn the total earned from his sale is £17M inclusive of the clause.
Frimpong was signed for £300k in 2019 meaning the club have made a massive 56.6x what they paid for him. pic.twitter.com/ycIFJ2vQcM

That’s a welcome boost and a significant sum for the club without even parting with any of our squad and it’s money that should be instantly be put to good use. That fee could be used or put towards a calibre of player that would improve our starting XI and that’s what Brendan requires as he looks to deliver us more success next campaign.

The Celtic manager is already on the record as saying he needs at least three quality additions to his squad and this cash bonus can help us bring one of those additions to the club. Maybe after reviewing the Scottish Cup Final defeat last weekend, he might amend that earlier assessment and increase the number of signings he now believes he needs to bring in this summer to push Celtic onto the next level.
Love you guys. Always ❤️ https://t.co/mTNikEBlul

The transfer window opens shortly for business and it’s vital we get some business done and preferably as early as possible. Funds such as the Frimpong cash are already available now let’s put them to good use, the season ticket money is already in, the Champions League money will be there too and there’s the bulging bank-balance we all know about.
Celtic’s strength needs to be on the park and not in the PLC’s annual accounts.
Best of luck to Jeremie Frimpong at Liverpool, hope he does really well for the English Champions.
