£5m-rated winger keen on Celtic switch as talks continue

Celtic are reportedly in talks to sign Michel-Ange Balikwisha from Royal Antwerp. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Celtic over the last few transfer windows but no deal has been forthcoming. It has been reported that Celtic could land the player for under £5m.

Sports journalist Pete O’Rourke revealed earlier this week that Celtic were expected to revisit their interest in the player and that he was available on a £5m deal. However, the new update from Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri on Twitter has confirmed that talks are underway and the player is eager to make the move.

The wide player has scored 29 goals and 14 assists in 141 appearances for Antwerp, including performances in the UEFA Champions League. Balikwisha plays predominantly on the left but can also feature on the right, too.

Celtic have already added Kieran Tierney for next season but are expected to seal deals for Callum Osmond and Ross Doohan alongside a £2m deal to sign attacking midfielder Benji Nygren. Hopefully Celtic can get a few more deals over the line as well as focusing on strengthening the backline.
