Celtic make Sports Bar opening times announcement

Celtic have announced that the newly-opened Sports Bar will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The club made the announcement in an update on Wednesday afternoon, likely with a view to the knock-out rounds of the World Cup, but also as a result of the success since opening back in October.

In an announcement on the club website, Celtic confirmed the change to the opening times:

“The Sports Bar at Celtic Park has been hugely popular with supporters on matchdays since it opened in October, and we are delighted that the new bar will now be open to everyone on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. However, this excludes matchdays. On home game matchdays, the bar is available for entry on a first-come, first-served basis for match ticket holders.

“It’s the perfect place to meet with friends and family for food & drinks at Celtic Park, with bar service and bar snacks available to purchase.

“Pop in if you’re in the area or visiting Celtic Park for a Stadium Tour or for pre-meal drinks if you’re dining with us in the Number 7 with the bar open to the public weekly:

Fridays – 10am-5pm
Saturdays – 9am-7pm
Sundays – 9am-5pm

“Access to the Bar is via the Kerrydale Suite entrance at the West Stand of the stadium.

“With delicious food and a host of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options available, the Sports Bar will also be showing The World Cup games live on the screens, so why not come along and enjoy the new Sports Bar at Celtic Park with family or friends.”

Celtic have made various efforts in the last few years to make the matchday experience better for fans and the opening of the sports bar will go towards that. The next thing that many are supportive of is the idea of a fan zone, allowing supporters to buy alcohol, listen to music and buy food but in a larger capacity than the Sports Bar will allow. It appears to be a case of Celtic making incremental improvements.
