Josip Juranovic speaking to the Union Berlin official website was clearly delighted to get the move.
“The transfer to Union fulfils my dream of being able to play in one of the best football leagues in the world. The Bundesliga is intense and robust, which suits my game,” Josip said. “I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans at the Alte Försterei soon. In Berlin, I want to improve even more and take the next step in my career.”
Union’s director of professional football Oliver Ruhnert outlined his thoughts on his new signing.
“With his pace his experience and his ability, Josip is a great fit for us. We are convinced that in him we have signed a player who will quickly be of great help, and we are very happy to have him,” the Union Berlin Director of Football said.
It was nice to notice that the German side could tell you who the Scottish Champions are unlike the presenter on BBC Sportscene last night!
“What seems to be unanimous is that apart from the fact he can play, there’s nobody with a bad word about him. Whether it’s Alistair Johnson, “No matter what’s been going on behind the scenes, he’s a great guy. He has taken me under his wing which has been really nice of him,” the official Union Berlin twitter account noted.

Juranovic as a man, not just a player, has impressed Union Berlin. “Or one of those few glimmers of hope out of the World Cup when he went over to console his friend and teammate Daizen Maeda after Croatia beat Japan. He didn’t have to, it was just the human thing to do,” they noted.

“And the love the Celtic fans have shown him over the last few days is overwhelming. Not all players get that, and it’s testament to the man. I hope you know we’ll look after him. Eisern!”
