Graham Spiers has paid his respects to David Potter via his Press Box podcast and this feature two invited guests from The Celtic Star team, fellow authors Matt Corr and Matthew Marr. There’s no doubt that Spiers is quite astonished at the literary output from David Potter as he refers to a twitter thread posted by Matthew earlier this week which shows the extent of the Celtic books that David published between 1996 and 2023, and as I mentioned earlier this week, David’s output will continue with his book on Celtic in the 1980s set to be published probably in 2024 by Celtic Star Books.
Graham’s podcast is available on a free to listen basis and you can listen to it below…

An interesting and enjoyable interview tonight on the @GrahamSpiers podcast.
This was to discuss the work of the late Celtic historian, David Potter but also to examine football history writing in general.

Here’s the twitter thread from Matthew that Graham refers to in the podcast…
The sad death of well-known Celtic historian David Potter reminds us of his huge research legacy.
David wrote/co-wrote at least 33 Celtic books, and helped others too.
Early history to modern day, his knowledge was fantastic.
Here's a thread of those books.

Never ever did get David to sign it ✍️
Another side to David you would get a email with loads of folk tied in saying, “gentlemen I may have something to relieve you of the pain of that last Celtic or Scotland match, can you remind me of your postal address” DP.
