Angeball starting to click at Spurs, that should please Celtic supporters

I don’t watch much EPL football but yesterday I watched Spurs take on Manchester United as Ange Postecoglou stamped his authority and introduced English football to Angeball.

It has to be said Man United were pretty poor, despite spending a fortune in the transfer market they looked a bang average side. But don’t take that away from Ange Postecoglou, he had his side playing some good stuff, especially in the second half and Man United could not handle it one bit.

This surprised the arrogant English pundits, but not us Celtic supporters. We know the football that Ange demands and knew he’d light up the English game. The Spurs supporters certainly enjoyed it, even nicking our Ange Postecoglou song and claiming it as their own, maybe even Gary Neville and Co will in time let themselves enjoy it and admit they were wrong.

Some Celtic supporters have a grudge against Ange for leaving, I can understand that to an extent, but why? He was unknown and criticised when he joined us and was successful while making a name for himself. Everyone was a winner.

Ange Postecoglou comes from Australia and their football, like ours, is looked down on by the snobs of English football. He’s the underdog and after the enjoyment and success he gave us, we should all be supporting him in his bid to shut up the arrogant critics down south, including of course all those Tottenham fans who campaigned against him getting the job in the first place.

  1. I’m a spurs season ticket holder and don’t know a single person that was not excited by his appointment. You are giving way too much credit to a few armchair fans on Twitter, mate

  2. Agree with the first comment. TV pundits might have been sceptical but Spurs fans celebrated the appointment from day 1.

  3. Yup. Big man had Spurs buzzing and playing with the verve of late 70/70s Spurs. Enjoyed watching Angeball translate into EPL victory.

With some belief, a couple more signings, they might make a bigger impact than expected, certainly will catch out some of the complacent established big guns like Man U. Should be an enjoyable watch as the players perfect the intensity of Angeball.

My money’s on that big primadonna Richarlson being out the door before the end of the month, mind you; public tantrums don’t sit well with ange.
