Sead Hakšabanović is reportedly looking for a way out of Celtic before the close of the summer transfer window. The Montenegrin winger has been a peripheral figure for quite some time now, having not really been used by Brendan Rodgers since his return to Glasgow’s East End.

Hakšabanović had been used here and there by Ange Postecoglou and his best spell at Celtic came last November when he hit somewhat of a pure patch before the World Cup in Qatar. The 24-year-old has not started for the club so far this term and came on as a substitute at Rugby Park in the League Cup last weekend and was denied a stonewall penalty by Alan Muir and his cohorts.

The player arrived at Paradise last summer when we snapped him up from Rubin Kazan in Russia. We managed to get him for a fraction of the cost due to the ongoing war that is being wages against Ukraine by the Russians. There was considerable interest in the attacker when Ange Postecoglou snagged him for the Hoops and should he be on the market, he won’t be short of options.
According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, sources have told the media outlet that the player wants to explore his options before the transfer window shuts on 1 September. Despite assurances from above that he is a valued member of the squad, he and his representatives feel that he hasn’t been given a fair crack of the whip under the new management regime.
