Moussa Dembele has reacted to the seventh anniversary of Celtic’s 5-1 thrashing over Rangers. The French striker was Man of the Match as Brendan Rodgers’ side blew the Ibrox side away as Moussa scored a hat-trick with second-half goals from Scott Sinclair and Stuart Armstrong.
Taking to Twitter/X, Dembele referred to the fixture as ‘The derby of derbys’ whilst saying that it was ‘forever in his memory’.

The derby of derbys 🙌🏾

A complete demolition forever in my memory 🟢⚪️ @CelticFC #Invincibles #Unbeatable #GlasgowDerby #Dembelition https://t.co/EEX58LPx4W— Moussa Dembélé (@MDembele_10) September 10, 2023
Celtic manager Rodgers has enjoyed incredible success in the fixture and kicked off his second tenure with a win at Ibrox with a depleted side. The Irishman will be hoping that he can inflict as comprehensive a victory as this against Rangers later this season.
Dembele called Celtic ‘the greatest club in the world’ previously. Dembele was a fan favourite instantly with that performance. He actually managed seven goals and four assists in eight appearances against the Ibrox side.
Dembele scored 51 goals in 94 appearances across the two seasons, winning six trophies during his trophy-laden spell in Glasgow.
You do have to think that Dembele could have gone on to achieve much more at Celtic which would have likely taken him beyond Lyon.
