Celtic have got themselves into a right old mess with the proposed Gustaf Lagerbielke move to Serie A side Lecce. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the brakes have been put on the deal at the 11th hour by Celtic who appear to have received bad injury news regarding Cameron Carter-Vickers so have attempted to halt Lagerbielke’s loan move.
However the Swedish defender has already agreed personal terms with Lecce and is demanding that Celtic allow him to move. The deal incidentally also has an option to buy. And Anthony Joseph says that Lagerbielke will fly to Italy for a medical but will have to wait on the clubs finding a breakthrough.
He then posted this update, saying Celtic have put a pause on Gustaf Lagerbielke’s move to Lecce due to an injury to fellow centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers. The Serie A club are awaiting a final decision.

Here what the Sky Sports Italy man Gianluca Di Marzio has reported on his website (and this via Google translate, but you’ll get the gist)…
Change of scene for Lecce’s incoming transfer market. The negotiation for the purchase of Lagerbielke from Celtic has stalled (for the moment) precisely at the exchange of documents. The situation is now at a standstill.
Lagerbielke-Lecce has stalled for the moment: the reason
Celtic decided to block the negotiation at the time of the exchange of documents due to the recent injury of Carter-Vickers (central defender whose instrumental tests confirmed his suspension on Tuesday 30 January). Now the Scottish club is no longer convinced of loaning him out (formula in agreement with Lecce which also included the right of redemption) but the player had already accepted the Italian destination and is now forcing himself with Celtic to be able to leave.
Born in 2000, he is a right-footed defender who also boasts two appearances in the Champions League this season with Celtic. He is a young player but has already made his debut with the senior Swedish national team.
Talk is Lagerbielke is adamant he wants to leave trying to push through the deal and Celtic may look to bring in a loan deal CH. No chance of that, they can’t find a LB after a year of looking. HH pic.twitter.com/UgJcSCmql5

I’m afraid the league looks lost this year. The negativity created by Rodgers and the Board is destroying the momentum and progress of the team. What they are doing by not investing in desperately-needed quality additions is criminal. Now they’re rubbing salt into the open wounds by taking Norwich City’s unproductive 22-year-old project on loan to allow Norwich space to grab Sydney van Hooijdonk. It’s utterly beyond belief.
They have gifted Rangers the treble what a bunch of wankers they are that includes Brendon he was just the same the last time he was at Celtic
