The Dutch side were reportedly demanding close to £6.5 million for their standout winger who is attracting interest from clubs across Europe.
However, according to the Daily Record, a £5 million offer – no lower – could be enough to bring the Danish winger to Celtic Park. This valuation is reportedly due to Go Ahead Eagles being obligated to give 25 percent of any transfer fee to Breum’s former team, Odense.
The report also claims that if Celtic hold off until next summer to pursue Breum, his asking price could drop to around the £2 million mark, a revelation that will have seen eyes lit up in the Celtic Boardroom.

That figure aligns more closely with the bids Celtic have previously seen turned down for the Denmark U21 star.
The Hoops have seen THREE offers turned down so far, including a highest bid near £1.5 million that was swiftly rejected. It has been widely reported that Celtic are hesitant to match Go Ahead’s £5 million valuation.

Meanwhile, Celtic have reached an agreement to bring in Manchester City centre-back Jahmai Simpson-Pusey on loan until the end of the season.
Simpson-Pusey, who has been part of Manchester City’s academy for 12 years, made his senior debut last season with a substitute appearance against Tottenham Hotspur, then led by former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou.

Six days after his senior debut, he earned his first start in a Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal and went on to feature six times across all competitions for Manchester City during the 2024/25 season. Simpson-Pusey was prestigiously named Premier League 2 Player of the Year last campaign.

His move to Celtic could see the departure of Stephen Welsh. The 25 year-old defender has been linked in recent days with a move away to English League One side Plymouth Argyle.

The Eagles and Celtic know that thie is the only window of value. No one will buty him in January for more than 2 mil. The Eagles get 1.5M. max after this window. Celtic will come in with another offer at the end of this window when the Eagles know the clock is ticking. An offer of 3M gets then 2.25M now instead of 1.5 next summer.
No brainier for all.
