Four man shortlist for Celtic job – No.4 Jindrich Trpisovsky

My four man shortlist for the Celtic job. Name number four Jindrich Trpisovsky…

Speculation continues to mount as to who will be the next Celtic manager, and as expected names from the length and breadth of the world are now being mentioned. I’ve taken a close look at four names that I fully believe should be in consideration.

Jindrich Tripisovsky

I’ll list the four in reverse order leading to my top choice, who I believe will be widely supported as a favourite candidate for many Celtic supporters. So here goes and number four on the list is a coach who will be known to more than a few, and that man is Jindrich Tripisovsky.

The Czech coach has an abundance of experience in the game, making his name in the professional game as a goalkeeper before taking up coaching at a very young age, and working his way through the ranks to the very top of the Czech football pyramid.

A strong record at Slavia Prague

Currently, Trpisovsky is in charge of Slavia Prague whom he’s led through a successful period during his nine years in charge. The 50 year old has won four championships and four domestic cups, as well as the Czech Super Cup as Slavia asserted their dominance on the Czech game.

Tripisovsky has also guided Slavia to some impressive European results, particularly in the Europa League, although his last two campaigns on the European stage have been disappointing, particularly this season’s Champions League campaign. but overall he’s still a great experienced tactician, and motivator as his impressive CV suggests.

A ‘total football’ strategy

The Czech adopts a ‘total football’ strategy, heavily influenced by full pitch man-to-man pressing, and high volume passing. His sides are also known for their discipline, and disrupt superior opponents through organised suffocating pressure.

Jindrich Tripisovsky is a real leader, he’s a character, and most importantly of all, he’s a winner and more than worthy of being considered for the job as manager of Celtic Football Club.

He’s number four on my list as a worthy candidate to be the next manager of Celtic FC.

Coming up my third favourite managerial candidate to take over from Martin O’Neill this summer…
