My four man shortlist for the Celtic job. Name number three Marco Rose…

Number three on my four man shortlist for the Celtic managerial vacancy is a well known name in Marco Rose.
Rose sprung to prominence with RB Salzburg
The German sprung to prominence with RB Salzburg after being handed the main job due to his terrific work at youth level where he guided the RB youth stars of the future to the UEFA youth league in 2017.

Rose worked his magic at senior level, winning two top flight titles, and a domestic cup, whilst guiding the Austrians to two long Europa League runs, reaching the quarter and semi finals in successive campaigns. Indeed, in his entire time in charge of the Austrian side, they were unbeaten at home in all competitions.
He had his side well drilled and they impressed with their style of play, something we as Celtic supporters noticed after being pitted against the Austrians on European duty.
A mixed record in Germany
It was no surprise that Rose attracted great interest further afield, and he was on the move back to his homeland, joining Borussia Monchengladbach, and despite a decent start which culminated in the Germans reaching the Champions League knockouts, his overall record wasn’t that impressive and he was ultimately dismissed.
A short spell with Borussia Dortmund was just as disappointing despite guiding them to second place finish in the Bundesliga, and he was on the move again, this time to RB Leipzig.

Rose had more success in Leipzig, winning the DFB-Pokal but after some poor results at home and in Europe, he was dismissed after two and a half years in charge.
Celtic who wouldn’t have to pay any form of compensation
That would prove to be Rose’s last involvement in football to date, and he is still without a club, which is good news for Celtic who wouldn’t have to pay any form of compensation.
Marco Rose is experienced in winning honours with a big fish in a small pond with RB Salzburg, and he has the experience of working at some of the biggest clubs in Europe. He is a name that we should most certainly be sounding out.

He’s number three on my list as a worthy candidate to be the next manager of Celtic FC.
Coming up my second favourite managerial candidate to take over from Martin O’Neill this summer…
Just an Ordinary Bhoy
