Celtic Supporters are taking to Twitter to register their feelings towards Chief Executive and de facto Director of Football Peter Lawwell, whose time at Celtic is surely done after his strategy once again failed to deliver Champions League football for the club.
The cost of this is around £30million in lost revenue to Celtic – money recouped last year after losing at the same stage to AEK Athens – through the sale of Moussa Dembele to Lyon. This time around it’s the £25million from left back Kieran Tierney’s transfer to Arsenal, that will cover the loss of the Champions League money.
Many will point the finger at Neil Lennon, who will be haunted by his team selection last night and his tactically and personnel calls during the game but he isn’t the real problem. This goes back to AEK under Rodgers and Malmo under Ronny and the one man that has cast a shadow over Celtic’s European ambitions is Peter Lawwell, Celtic’s highest ever non-playing employee of all time.
A man who paid himself a £2.3million bonus in January while bringing in a few loan players to see out the season. They left, as did star asset Tierney, and we went into a £30million match with no left back and £10million of summer signings on the bench, not trusted to play by the manager. And both Bolingoli and Jullien have hardly hit the ground running in a Celtic jersey.
High wage earner Scotty Sinclair didn’t travel to Romania last week and was not included in the squad last night as Lawwell wants him off the wage list. Get used to seeing Lewis Morgan folks.
It’s a complete shambles and it’s one of Peter Lawwell’s making. Here are some of the #lawwellout posts…
Time for this man to go! He`s done enough damage. More than enough! #Lawwellout pic.twitter.com/GZqW7iWwDl

Advice for Neil Lennon:
1. Johnston, Morgan and Henderson are luxury players & should never play in big games
2. McGregor is not a left back
3. Simunovic is error prone and should go
4. Brown can't play every game
5. Bain is suspect and should be replaced #CelticFC #Lawwellout pic.twitter.com/nVDlrxgp0C— Pete Pendleton (@PopGoz) August 13, 2019

Lawwell juggling as per usual and eejit think oh let’s keep it in the bank. How about run the club as a football club as in players on the park and players the manager wants. It was an exciting game with some great play. #LawwellOut

Imagine £10m sitting out? Whom signed whom. There is form here and it is consistent and there is one common denominator. #LawwellOut

@CelticFC Until Lawwell is shown the door Never will I part with a ha penny on Celtic nothing nada zilch. i'd rather spend elsewhere than have that fat wage thief who never has done anything to warrant his job. other than see Rangers go bust. #LawwellOut #WageThief
