The 2020 East Coast (USA) Celtic Supporters Féile took place at its usual home, The Plough & The Stars pub in Philadelphia, last weekend. Presented by the 2nd Street Plough Bhoys CSC, the weekend epitomises the global reach of Celtic and the club’s support.
Fans were treated to Irish music and Celtic songs throughout, by Raymond Coleman and Neil Mac Thiarnain, whilst a blessing of the Celtic family took place at the Famine memorial. There were pub crawls, historical tours of the city and even a Superbowl party. However, the main attraction of the 3 day festival was the opportunity to meet and greet ex-Celt Paul Byrne, coupled with a live showing of Celtic AM, during which regular host, Andrew Milne, interviewed Celtic Supporter’s Liaison Officer, John Paul Taylor, in front of a packed audience.
The Celtic SLO tweeted a great picture following Celtic’s 4-1 victory over Hamilton on Sunday:
When you are a small club like us, it’s easy to forget how massive of a club Celtic is. This weekend I met people from all over. The reach and love of Celtic is global. It’s nice knowing wherever you travel in the world that that you have a home away from home https://t.co/fxw27QPcEt
