Video: Stunner from Callum McGregor Gives Celtic the lead against West Ham

High intensity Celtic have taken a well deserved early lead through a stunning strike from the captain Callum McGregor and it was a goal that is clearly a result of Ange Postecoglou high pressing game. Yet at the other end the Premier League visitors have had a few great chances of their own but on both occasions Vasilis Barkas has produced not one but two excellent saves that will do his confidence as the first pick Celtic goalkeeper the world of good, especially ahead of the midweek trip to Denmark.

Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard are stand-out in the sunshine at Celtic Park in the early stages with Celtic still leading by 1-0. Both players of course are perhaps keen to impress against English Premier League opposition as they eye moves in the days or weeks ahead – unless Ange changes their minds!
