Dom McKay takes to social media : “Great to welcome back supporters today in larger numbers”

Minutes after the final whistle at Celtic Park this afternoon, the NEW Celtic CEO Dom McKay took to social media to congratulate the side on a brilliant 6-0 win over Dundee.

“Congratulations to Celtic on a wonderful home win. Great to welcome back supporters today in larger numbers creating a special atmosphere as always,” McKay stated and supporters are already engaging with the new boss.

You certainly couldn’t imagine his predecessor Peter Lawwell ever being willing to communicate with supporters in this way. There’s plenty of calls so far encouraging McKay to back Ange Postecoglou with further signings, especially defensive players. That should not take away from the performance of Tony Ralston who was among the goals and could have had a double..

McKay has had a difficult week with many supporters unhappy with the club’s handling of the ballot – a mistake that Celtic should acknowledge. However with a 6-0 win today and the quality of football on show then perhaps they’ll put the ballot fiasco behind them and head to Paradise on Thursday.

We reported this morning that there will be £1 tickets available for Under 13s for the next European game after Thursday.
